CAUSIVRA FIELD GUIDE

Is this AI workflow ready for a pilot?

Use these 24 checks before choosing a model, platform or implementation partner. A “no” is not failure—it identifies the work required before autonomy is safe or economically useful.

01

Outcome

  • One bounded business outcome is named
  • The current baseline can be measured
  • A wrong result has a defined consequence
  • A responsible business owner is assigned
02

Evidence

  • Required systems of record are available
  • Source freshness and conflicts are visible
  • Success can be checked independently
  • Representative historical cases exist
03

Authority

  • Permitted and prohibited actions are explicit
  • Credentials follow least privilege
  • High-impact actions require approval
  • A stop and recovery path is tested
04

Evaluation

  • Normal, edge and adversarial cases are included
  • Outcome and tool trajectory are scored separately
  • Critical failures block release
  • Production failures become regression tests
05

Operations

  • Latency and cost limits are defined
  • Fallback behavior works when tools fail
  • Logs can reconstruct consequential actions
  • An escalation owner and response time are named
06

Pilot

  • The first release is shadow or recommendation mode
  • A time-boxed pilot has go/no-go thresholds
  • Human correction effort is measured
  • The decision record is retained after the pilot
INTERPRET THE RESULT

Readiness is about evidence, not enthusiasm.

20–24 checks: prepare a controlled pilot and define release gates.

14–19 checks: close the named gaps before live use.

0–13 checks: redesign the workflow or begin with deterministic automation.
